Celebi

Celebi is #251 in the National/Johto Pokedex (#386 in the Hoenn dex), in the Psychic / Grass (Ground) categories, colour Green. It has the ability of Natural Cure. Celebi appears as a small sprite-like being with large green feet, curved antennae and wings. From the Pokédex:

"Grass and trees flourish in the forests in which it has appeared. When it disappears deep in a forest, it is said to leave behind an egg it brought from the future. This Pokémon came from the future by crossing over time. It is thought that so long as Celebi appears, a bright and shining future awaits us."

The name Celebi is an Anglicized version of the Pokémon's Japanese name, Serebii, which is derived in part from bi, a Japanese word meaning "beautiful".
